Meet the Doctor
I began my career in Veterinary Medicine over 30 yrs ago, starting out in high school as a Veterinary Assistant. I graduated from Texas A & M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from Texas A&M in Galveston along the way.
I have experienced various aspects of the industry over the years including toxicology, research at UTMB, emergency medicine, private small animal practice, relief work, and zoo & wildlife medicine. I began my path in Complimentary therapies in 2007 and am working on my Master’s thesis in Chinese Medicine. Other various work experiences include retail sales and delivery, warehouse operations, factory line work, Hospitality, and cable television installation. I have been active in my community and have volunteered my time with many organizations since junior high school, including the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network, Turtle Island Restoration Network, Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition, March of Dimes, International Service Learning service trips, Medical Reserve Corps, Community Emergency Response Team, and The Texas Seaport Museum, Elissa crew. Currently I am building up a mobile practice focused on complimentary therapies and hospice care for animals.
